Narrative Feature

Dick Roman is a washed up TV host whose wife leaves him the day before their ten year anniversary celebration. Alone with his thoughts, his dog, and a ton of booze, Dick decides to go thrugh with the week-long party. . .by himself. The seven event-filled days become Dick’s reluctant vision quest, filled with odd characters, awkward romance, and some long overdue self examination.

 

Director Biographies

John W. Mann has worked as a writer, director, editor and producer for 20 years. His films include the multi-award winning shorts “Pissing Vocal Gold” and “Breadcrumbs.” With his writing partner Jon Gunn, Mann co-wrote over a dozen studio movies, including “The Magic Ball” fr Paramount, “The Nutcracker” for Universal, “Imaginary Friends” for Skydance Productions, “A Tale Dark and Grimm” for Film Nation (to be directed by Henry Selick). “Monopoly” for Hasbro/Sony and multiple features for Dreamworks Animation, including “Alcatraz Versus the Evil Libraries”, “Nano” and “B.O.O. The Bureau of Otherworldly Operations.”

For “The Week”, Mann served as Director, Producer, Editor, Writer, Director of photography and Sound Recordist

Jon Gunn has worked as a writer, director, editor and producer for 20 years. His feature films include “Mercy Streets”, the festival favorite “My Date with Drew” and the multi-award-winning “Like Dandelion Dust.” With his writing partner John W. Mann, Gunn co-wrote over a dozen studio movies, including “The Magic Ball” fr Paramount, “The Nutcracker” for Universal, “Imaginary Friends” for Skydance Productions, “A Tale Dark and Grimm” for Film Nation (to be directed by Henry Selick). “Monopoly” for Hasbro/Sony and multiple features for Dreamworks Animation, including “Alcatraz Versus the Evil Libraries”, “Nano” and “B.O.O.
