It all started with a sip of wine, a very special Marzemino. After that first ruby drop hit his tongue, everything changed for shy bank clerk Giovanni Cuttin. With his senses feverishly awakened, Giovanni quits his day job to embark on a life as a powerful wine writer, in a classic Faustian arrangement. Unfortunately, as foretold by a mysterious gentleman, Giovanni’s rise to fame will include a mad thirst for more expensive and exquisite wines, turning a formerly honest man and loving husband into a thief, a liar…and possibly a murderer? Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani was born in Milan Italy, and studied film at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. His feature films include The Cruelest Day (2003), which won numerous awards for its star, Giovanna Mezzogiorno, as well as several documentaries, including Zulu Meets Jazz (2008).
