VB ONe Film Competition

VB ONE, developed for the Vero Beach Film Festival, is a one-minute film contest that challenges filmmakers, writers, animators, artists, creative producers and everyday people to develop and submit the world’s best one-minute films.  The best one-minute film can be as effective as any great movie.   The challenge is to do it all in 60 seconds.

VB One Guidelines

  • Entrants may create a piece of fiction, a documentary, a community-service announcement or a music clip.  Submitted films can be animated or live-action — funny or serious.
  • Entry is free to all Vero Beach and Indian River County residents, but is open to all.
  • Indian River County residents can enter by filling out the form below.  Films must be MOV or MP4.  Please submit a valid email address and a mailing address with your entry.
  • Residents outside the Indian River County area may enter their films via FilmFreeway.  Please see our “Submit Your Film” box on our website for more details on how to submit your film via FilmFreeway.
  • Opening and/or closing credits are not required, but may add up to an additional 10 seconds.
  • Ensure that all content in your film (including footage, music, images, props, etc.) is your own.  If you include any copyrighted or trademarked content, you must be able to provide written permission for its use.  Entries containing any unauthorized content will be disqualified.
  • All entries must be submitted by March 28, 2022.

Finalists and Winners

Our judges will choose the films they believe are the most engaging, imaginative and innovative in content and delivery.  They will select 10 finalists, who will be contacted via email, and announced in May, 2022.
The finalists will be invited to attend live screenings of their films and answer questions about them during the Vero Beach Film Festival in June, 2022.
The winners will be announced at the 2022 Vero Beach Film Festival Awards Ceremony.  Prizes will be awarded.
Some of the VB ONE films may be shown during an online edition of the Vero Beach Film Festival, which will allow filmmakers to reach an audience well beyond Vero Beach.  The films may also be used for promotional purposes for the Vero Beach Film Festival.
